“Board fails to correct selection list despite seeking preferences’
SRINAGAR: Despite asking for preference of choice, Service Selection Board (SSB) has allegedly failed to rectify their mistake of doubly inclusion of candidates in the final selection list of Junior Engineer (JE) posts.
SSB had advertised three notifications: 3 of 2012, 3 of 2013 and 11 of 2013 for selecting 663 candidates for JE civil vacancies. The written test for these posts was conducted on 3 August, 2014.
When the candidates were shortlisted, many of such candidates due to their high merit were listed in more than one category.
SSB asked preferences from the candidates before making final selection list under order number ssb/sel/secy/2015/1616-31 on 2nd February, 2015.
“We submitted our preferences but despite that SSB again shortlisted the wrong list where again many candidates were included in more than one category that is keeping our selection out of list,” said a group of JE aspirants while holding placards against SSB in Press Enclave.
These junior engineers were supposed to be recruited in R&B and PHE.
These left out aspirants have appealed the governor and divisional administration to look into the matter and provide them the justice.
