SRINAGAR: The students of central university of Kashmir (CUK) are up in arms against what they said as the “sluggish” attitude of the administration who failed to provide them a fee counter in the Nowgam campus to submit their semester admission fee.
These students have to travel from Nowgam campus to Sonwar main office to submit their fee which is costing them to lose an half a day besides causing time loss as well as cashing them extra money for bus fare.
Despite having majority of students in this Nowgam campus with nearly one dozen departments, administration has completely failed to provide them a fee counter, students alleged.
“We have to go to Sonwar campus to get our fee receipts and then submit fee, Look at the lackadaisical attitude of the administration who could not provide us a fee receipt in our campus so that we could submit the fee in any of the nearby banks,” said a group of students.
The last date for submitting the semester admission fee is 10th March. “I wonder when I heard from my own department that I have to go all the way from here to Sonwar only to submit fee and come back again to submit my form here in the department,” said one student wishing not to be named.
These students have appealed the Vice Chancellor that fee counter should be started here in the Nowgam Campus also to ease the way for the students.
