The arrangements being put in place for Muharram-ul-Haram were reviewed during a meeting of concerned officers and the representatives of Shia Association at Bandipora today.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Sajad Ahmad.
Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to ensure all the arrangements like distribution of rice, sugar, K-oil, LPG and firewood in Shia inhabited areas. He also stressed for keeping drinking water, electricity, transport and medicare facilities available in these areas during the holy days of Muharram.
Deputy Commissioner directed the Municipal Committee authorities to make better sanitation arrangements at Imambagahas besides he asked the R&B and Rural Development Department to take up the required work of inner roads where the Zuljinah processions are being taken out in Muharram.
He stressed for better coordination between the departments so that every possible service delivery can be ensured in the district.
